Goodman Real Estate (www.goodmanre.com) (GRE), a leading privately-held Seattle-based multifamily real estate investment company, today announced several additions to its leadership team as the company positions itself for the future.
As part of the firm’s expanded structure, former Vice President (VP) of Operations Kelli Jo Norris is now President; former Analyst Kirt Norman is serving as VP of Investments; Asset Manager Tim Dickerson is now VP of Development; and Controller Tom Eyler is now VP of Finance.
“This is an exciting time for Goodman Real Estate—and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the work we’ve done over the last 26 years and the outstanding team we now have in place to lead us into the future,” said Goodman Real Estate Founder John Goodman. “As our current real estate market shifts, we feel very well-positioned to build on the successes of this cycle and look toward the future.”
New Executive Team Well-Poised for Future Growth
The changes to GRE’s leadership structure strengthen the firm’s core executive team, which includes Founder and Chairman John Goodman, CEO and former President George Petrie, and new President Norris—a tightly-knit team that has been working together at GRE for twenty years.
“We’re excited to look forward and position ourselves for what’s to come in the next three, five or ten years,” said Goodman Real Estate CEO George Petrie. “At the end of the day, GRE continues to be about the people; past, present and future. We’re excited about what this expanded leadership team will bring to the marketplace, to the firm and to our new and existing relationships.”
In her new role as President, Kelli Jo Norris will be responsible for driving strategy and operations, where she will draw upon one a core strength of recruiting and cultivating talent. With more than 30 years’ experience in the real estate industry and 20 years with GRE, Norris has worked in every facet of real estate, including development, acquisition, leasing, investor/lender relations, implementation of strategic and capital plans, disposition and property management. She currently co-leads the firm’s overall business strategy with Petrie.
“Our firm is committed to hard work, passion, team-building and collaboration—and it’s one of the reasons I’m thrilled about my new role,” said Norris. “I look forward to working with John and George to continue building GRE through our people, marketplace actions, partnerships and high-performing assets.”
As Vice President of Investments, Kirt Norman will be responsible for underwriting and debt evaluation, as well as the acquisition, development, financing and disposition decisions associated with each investment. As a member of the firm for more than ten years, Norman came to GRE from Trammell Crow, where he served as a Commercial Property Accountant.
New Vice President of Finance Tom Eyler will be responsible for corporate accounting, budgeting, cash management, internal controls and tax compliance. With more than two decades of real estate experience, Eyler began working at GRE twenty years ago and has deep experience in financial aspects of acquisitions, dispositions, lender financing and tax matters.
Search Begins for VP of Asset Management
In addition to the recent shift in executive structure and internal promotions, GRE is also searching for a VP of Asset Management who will function as part of the leadership team and be responsible for managing a seasoned team of asset managers, ensuring the firm’s seven-state commercial and multi-family portfolio continues to excel.
