John Goodman is a well-established business owner and community contributor in the Greater Seattle area. John’s career in real estate management, development, and investments spans more than 30 years. With an entrepreneurial spirit, John utilizes his considerable market knowledge and financial strength to manage his investment firm that builds and maintains a portfolio of multi-family and commercial assets. He has had ownership in more than 40,000 apartment units and 2.5 million square feet of office space and is a leading developer of multi-family housing in the Puget Sound region.

The key to John’s success is his integrity, his many longstanding professional and personal relationships, and the team of real estate professionals that he has fostered over the years. Inspiring his team with his vision, his contagious enthusiasm, and his ability to turn thoughts into actions, he is the mastermind behind the achievements at GRE. Known for his loyalty and generosity, he inspires loyalty and generosity in his team.

John founded the Goodman Foundation in 2005. The mission of the Goodman Foundation is to fund organizations that support children and their families. Through this foundation, he supports the Boys & Girls Club, Seattle Children’s Hospital, and the Big Brother/Big Sister program, amongst many others. A Seattle-native, John is married with three kids and enjoys spending time with his friends and family, racing, golfing, and boating.

Deb joined GRE in 2012 and has been in the property management and real estate world for more than 17 years. As the Executive Specialist, she provides accounting and financial support to Executive Leadership.

Deb is known for her skills in accounting, project management, and database administration. She thrives in these tasks because of her aptitude in strength and observation. Deb is passionate about her friends and family. In her spare time, she enjoys being in the outdoors and can often be found hiking, camping, and traveling.

Jeffrey Coats

Jeff Coats

Development Associate

Jeff first joined GRE as an intern during the summer of 2016 while he was completing his BA in Business Administration at the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business. Drawn to the vibrant company culture and energy that flows through the office, Jeff joined the team as a full-time employee after graduation. In addition to his BA degree, Jeff holds a Washington State Real Estate license.

As the Development Associate, Jeff provides support for all development projects and manages GRE’s construction management software, Procore. Prior to being the Development Associate, Jeff was a Revenue Analyst which gave him the experience of underwriting new acquisitions and understanding the market analysis. Jeff is committed to his work, and once he begins a task, he is dedicated to seeing it through to completion. He excels at finding creative ways to solve problems and enjoys working in a way that emphasizes relationships. He holds himself to high ethical standards and appreciates working on a team where honesty, integrity, and hard work are valued.

Outside of work, Jeff enjoys outdoor activities such as mountain biking and snowboarding. He also loves traveling and volunteers at his church as a part of the worship band.
