Alex Goon

Revenue Analyst & Insights

Alex Goon joined GRE in 2024 and focuses on the multifamily sector. In this role, Alex finds the optimal balance of rental rates and occupancy to maximize revenue and monitors, collects, and analyzes market data to develop competitive positioning. He creates reports and tools to improve operational efficiency continuously and provides leasing teams with actionable insights to adjust strategies as needed.

Alex holds a degree in Management with concentrations in Finance and Information Systems from Boston College. During his time at Boston College, he was a senior associate in the Real Estate Club, mentoring underclassmen interested in real estate careers, and played for the Men’s Lacrosse Club. Alex previously held an internship with CBRE on the Capital Markets Team in Denver, and worked as a Leasing Specialist in Boston.

Known for his strong work ethic, critical thinking, and exceptional communication skills, Alex is proud to foster a respectful and uplifting workplace environment. His colleagues describe him as a dedicated professional who always brings positive energy to the team.

Outside of work, Alex volunteers as a coach at Harlem Lacrosse, mentoring youth to help them reach their full potential, and at Habitat for Humanity, contributing to affordable housing initiatives in his community. In his free time, Alex enjoys playing lacrosse, skiing, hiking, biking, and is keen to learn more about fishing and golfing.

Brissa Romo-Perez

Office Coordinator

Brissa joined the GRE team in 2024, bringing with her a commitment to efficiency, support, and teamwork. As an Office Coordinator, Brissa plays a pivotal role in the smooth operation of our office, focusing on a variety of tasks that ensure our team can function at its best every day. Her responsibilities include supporting associates, managing communications, welcoming guests, and maintaining an organized office environment. Brissa is dedicated to honing her skills and exploring career paths within GRE, with the goal of professional growth and development at the forefront of her ambitions.

Brissa graduated from the University of Washington in 2019, where she focused on pre-law, with a particular interest in human and nonhuman rights. This foundation has instilled in Brissa a strong sense of justice, compassion, and understanding, qualities that she brings to her role at GRE every day.

In her free time, Brissa enjoys embracing the beauty of the Pacific Northwest through picnics, camping, and snowboarding. She cherishes moments spent journaling, cuddling with her two cats, Leah and Leo, and exploring new culinary experiences with friends. She is passionate about animal rights, often volunteering at various animal sanctuaries across Washington state.

Chais Lowell

Asset Manager

Chais Lowell joined GRE in 2024 as an Asset Manager, bringing with him an impressive track record and a wealth of experience in the commercial real estate sector. With a focus on multi-family and commercial assets, Chais is dedicated to enhancing performance and maximizing the returns of his portfolio through strategic oversight and the implementation of innovative strategies.

Chais holds a Master of Science in Real Estate from the University of Washington, and a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Seattle University. Prior to GRE, Chais spent seven years with CBRE’s Pacific Northwest Capital Markets team, where he completed transactions totaling $5.6 billion, and at Talon Private Capital, repositioning and disposing of a substantial office portfolio.

An accomplished leader known for his comprehensive experience across various facets of commercial real estate, Chais is celebrated for his ability to dissect complex issues and devise effective solutions. His approach to problem-solving and reputation for excellence have earned him respect and acknowledgment within the industry.

Outside of his professional achievements, Chais is deeply committed to giving back to the community. He has been an active volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters since 2016 and mentors undergraduates at the University of Washington, sharing his insights and experiences to guide the next generation.

Outside of work, Chais cherishes time spent with his family, exploring children’s museums, enjoying outdoor activities like golf and snowboarding, and perfecting the art of smoking briskets. He and his wife share a passion for international travel, eagerly anticipating future adventures with their two young children.

Hunter Van Horne

Asset Manager

Hunter Van Horne joined Goodman Real Estate in 2023 as an Asset Manager specializing in multi-family. Hunter is instrumental in boosting performance and maximizing portfolio returns. His daily responsibilities include the careful oversight and strategic implementation of new methodologies that enhance our overall operation.

Hunter graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a Certificate in Commercial Real Estate. He is an active member of The Urban Land Institute (ULI), constantly expanding his knowledge and staying abreast of industry trends.

Professionally, Hunter is known for his strong financial acumen and results-oriented approach. His ability to unravel complex challenges and develop comprehensive, tailored strategies across a diverse range of multi-family assets sets him apart. His colleagues describe him as a critical and strategic thinker who never shies away from a challenge.

In his free time, Hunter loves to stay active outdoors. He’s an avid cyclist, a seasoned sailor, and enjoys a good round of golf.

Jack Counihan

Investments Analyst

Jack Counihan joined Goodman Real Estate in 2023 as an Investment Analyst. His professional focus lies in multifamily acquisitions, dispositions, and recapitalizations, utilizing his unique expertise to source and scrutinize potential acquisitions and markets. At GRE, his responsibilities include sourcing and analyzing potential acquisitions and markets to secure profitable deals.

Jack is a proud graduate of Santa Clara University, where he majored in finance and minored in real estate. This solid educational foundation coupled with his problem-solving acumen makes him an invaluable asset to our team.

Beyond his professional commitments, Jack is actively involved in community service. He dedicates his time to The Scooty Fund, a foundation aimed at raising Mental Health Awareness, and LIHI Tiny Houses, an organization committed to tackling homelessness through innovative solutions. When he’s not working or volunteering, you can find Jack indulging in his hobbies – playing golf, reading, spending time on the lake, or planning his next travel adventure.

Don Fosseen

Chief Investment Officer

Don Fosseen serves as the Chief Investment Officer at Goodman Real Estate, bringing an impressive track record of more than 35 years of experience in the real estate industry. Don’s expertise lies in identifying lucrative investment opportunities and overseeing acquisitions, dispositions, and equity.

A graduate of the University of Washington, Don spent 20 years at CBRE as a leading investment sales executive. Known for his groundbreaking deal-making skills, he has successfully managed over $2 billion in acquisitions and dispositions, completing more than 350 transactions. His experience extends to managing teams specializing in asset and property management, and he is highly regarded for his strong relationships with institutions and equity partners.

Outside of work, Don is a dedicated family man and enjoys spending time with his six children. His hobbies include skiing, boating, paddleboarding, swimming, and reading.

Niko McHenry

Asset Services Analyst

Niko McHenry joined Goodman Real Estate in 2023 as an Asset Services Analyst, bringing a keen eye for detail and a passion for real estate. Niko focuses primarily on the multi-family sector, where he analyzes, supports, and facilitates efficient operations across our portfolio of assets.

A double major in Real Estate and Finance from the University of San Diego, Niko graduated cum laude, reflecting his commitment to academic excellence. He is also an active member of the Urban Land Institute, a testament to his dedication to staying current with industry trends and expanding his professional network.

Outside of work, Niko is an avid outdoorsman who grew up around the lake and the mountains fishing and skiing. Niko is passionate about the ‘Heath R McHenry Scholarship,’ a fund organized by his family to provide underprivileged kids the opportunity to snow ski.

Deanna Ayala

Risk & Safety Compliance Lead

Deanna Ayala joins Goodman Real Estate as the Risk Safety & Compliance Lead. Her primary focus is to support the GRE team and community in all elements of Risk Management and Safety compliance functions.

Deanna is a highly motivated and driven individual who thrives on streamlining processes and creating efficiencies to support team success. Her ability to analyze complex situations and provide effective solutions will be instrumental in ensuring the safety and well-being of our team and community.

Deanna is a member of the Risk and Insurance Management Society and is pursuing her Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation through National Alliance, showcasing her passion for continuous learning and professional growth.

Outside of work, she can be found on the field running drills with her daughter, who plays softball, spending time with family and traveling.

Haley Beebe

Corporate Services Executive

Haley Joined GRE in April of 2023 as the Corporate Services Executive. Her primary focus is to provide integrated support to the GRE Leadership Team.

Haley graduated from the University of Washington with a focus in Social Science Communication, and a minor in Business. She is highly organized and prides herself on being proactive and innovative. Haley is a diligent worker, and she looks forward to growing her skill set and career goals at Goodman Real Estate.

You can often find Haley volunteering to help the homeless through organizations such as the Westside Interfaith Network and Human Care Ministry. In her free time, Haley enjoys going on adventures with her friends and family, attending sporting events, skiing, and traveling.

Keith Hubrath

Development Associate

Keith joined the Development team at Goodman Real Estate in March of 2023. His primary focus is on multifamily construction projects, where his work will help to create thriving communities.

With a background in hospitality and real estate management, Keith brings many skillsets to his position. He is known for being detail-oriented and solution-driven. He has an undergraduate degree from Johnson & Wales University, and he completed a certificate program from UW in Commercial Real Estate. Keith is also an Accredited Property Manager (ARM) with the Institute of Real Estate Management and currently sits on the Young Leaders Group board for the Urban Land Institute (ULI).

Keith believes in giving back to the community and enjoys volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, and the Austin Animal Shelter in Texas when visiting his family. Keith spends his free time enjoying outdoor activities such as cycling, snowboarding, hiking, and kayaking. He also enjoys playing music and doing DIY renovations on his 100-year-old home.

Ken James

Project Manager

Construction has been a life-long passion for Ken. Growing up, Ken could often be found helping his dad on jobsites, and would spend his summers working as a laborer. Today, he has over 15 years of professional experience in the industry, and he brings a wide breadth of skills and knowledge to his position at Goodman Real Estate.

Ken has worked on a variety of projects, ranging from aerospace and light manufacturing, to retail spaces and historic renovations. In 2022 he joined the GRE team, and now focuses primarily on multi-family developments. He believes that a successful project manager can not only ensure that a project is prosperous financially, but also does not compromise on safety and efficiency.

Ken is a graduate of the University of Washington with a Bachelors in Construction Management, and a certificate in Commercial Real Estate. In his free time, Ken enjoys long distance running, working on home projects, playing with his energetic red nose pit bull, and going on sailing adventures with his wife.

Jessica Daughenbaugh

Human Resources Generalist

Jessica Daughenbaugh is a Human Resources Generalist at Goodman Real Estate with over 20 years of business administration experience. Her primary focus is providing exceptional communication and support to foster positive work relationships in conjunction with GRE’s third-party HR service provider. With her deep industry knowledge, diverse skillset, and strong work ethic, Jessica’s colleagues commend her for her commitment to meeting goals.

Jessica’s interest in the real estate industry stems back to her high school’s corporate internship program in Portland. This experience served as a springboard into various positions in corporate-level property management. A proud graduate of the University of Oregon, Jessica holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a minor in Psychology.

Jessica enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her dog, Porter. A PNW native, she values all the outdoor adventures the mountains and ocean have to offer, including hiking, backpacking, camping, kayaking—and photographing it all.

Fred Eastman

Chief Financial Officer

Fred Eastman is the Chief Financial Officer at Goodman Real Estate where he oversees all finance and accounting functions across the organization. Fred’s primary focus is ensuring the finance and accounting team is well-trained, focused on collaboration within GRE, and delivering timely and accurate financial reporting.

Starting out his career in public accounting as an auditor at Ernst and Young, Fred has spent his entire career in real estate accounting and possesses a wealth of experience with executing unique business transactions while managing monthly and yearly financial reporting. He thrives on strategic planning and focusing on efficient execution of tasks.

Fred graduated from Seattle University with a degree in Business Administration and holds his CPA licensure. When not at work, Fred enjoys spending time with his family and coaching his two boys in baseball, football, and golf. He is an avid Seahawks fan who enjoys attending home games as much as traveling to away games. Fred enjoys travel—especially to Mexico—and loves playing golf.

Cole Calabro

Asset Manager

Cole Calabro joined Goodman Real Estate as an Investment Portfolio Manager, and was quickly promoted to the Asset Services team. Cole draws on his breadth of experience to lead and make data-driven decisions in overseeing a portfolio of assets across the United States. Cole’s professional strengths include financial analysis, data interpretation, and business plan creation and execution. He is a firm believer in the importance and power of teamwork in driving optimized results.

Cole began working full-time with GRE in 2022 but credits his internship with GRE in 2015 as paving the path for his future in multifamily real estate. During the interim, Cole has had the good fortune of working with some of the brightest minds in the multifamily real estate industry. Since relocating back to Seattle, his professional focus has been in asset management for diverse portfolios.

Cole earned his Business Administration degree from Washington State University. He is a member of The Urban Land Institute (ULI) and has participated in the Young Leaders Group Partnership Forum in both Arizona and Washington.

Outside of work, Cole spends most of his time relaxing with his wife, Barrett, and their Fox Red Lab named Rio. He also enjoys outdoor activities including boating, golfing, and running.

Christian Knorr

Project Manager

Christian Knorr is a Project Manager with GRE Construction, where his area of focus is multi-family, mixed use, commercial, new construction, and renovations. Having first joined GRE back in 2018, Christian left and returned in 2022, bringing with him 17+ years of experience in the construction industry working for companies including Fairfield Residential and Compass Construction. The goal of Christian’s role as Project Manager is to successfully deliver projects to meet, if not exceed, expectations.

Christian’s expertise lies in developing collaborative, dedicated, and enthusiastic teams focused on the values and objectives of the organization. He maintains a proven track record of growing long-standing customer relationships. While his colleagues best describe him as hardworking and constantly going the extra mile, Christian prides himself on his honesty, fairness, and always looking out for GRE’s best interests.

Christian earned his BS degree in General Management from Florida Atlantic University. Outside of work, spending time with family and exploring the great outdoors are his favorite pastimes. He also enjoys working on home projects, tinkering in the garage, and indulging his interest in classic cars—particularly foreign 4WDs.
